What's My Job?Every summer break, I join the construction workforce. I mainly work in demolition and or framing. During working, I have learn to make decks, stairs, floors and or fences plus many more. In this job, I was able to learn how buildings are creates from scratch. I learned to read blue prints and understand interior and exterior of houses. I learned how to uses various of machines and properly measure areas. It's amazing how people can create a 3-story house in a month. During work, you'll have to overcome your fears in heights and not be scared to get dirty.
I worked Monday to Friday and sometimes Saturday over the summer break. Everyday it would be about 8-9 hours. |
What I LearnedWhile working I manage to created many structures. Fences, floors, decks, balconies and even houses. The first time in this job I never knew that there was a certain way to enter a nail or screw to tighten a leg chair, stairs or even the walls of houses. While working, I was taught to use different types of machinery. From electrical saws, to a jack hammer, to a nail gun. All these techniques I learn work I can apply it to my everyday life. This job benefit me in many ways. I sort of became the handy man at my house.
